We are aware that fraudsters can now target people purporting to be their solicitors. Such emails or letters may appear to be authentic but the email address would be incorrect. Such fraudsters have been known to send emails to client's notifying them of a change in bank details so that the client inadvertently, sends their funds to the fraudster's bank account.
In addition, fraudsters have been known to purport to be an official body but mention a solicitors firm to appear more authentic. Again, this is not something that Eatons would be involved in and caution should always be taken in response to such communications.
In light of the above examples, we would advise that:

We recommend that you do not transfer any money to us without first checking the account details with us in person as we will not accept responsibility if you transfer funds to an incorrect account
